Volunteering abroad is a wonderful opportunity for anyone with love of helping people, environment and animals. There are a variety of projects available to volunteer abroad ranging from medical advancements and health care to children care and education, wild life conservation and curing injured animals to generating awareness about sanitation and rights among the masses and helping in building a new school to developing sustainable solutions in agriculture for local farmers- anything which will give you a chance to take a dip into a local culture and make a difference. These projects are available throughout the developing world and all you need to do is select an organization which offer volunteer tours to these nations.

Nepal is a beautiful Asian country with welcoming people and diverse culture. There are three main areas for volunteering in Nepal, namely, Kathmandu-the capital city- Pokhara and Chitwan. A volunteer in Nepal can choose from orphanage work, English teaching, remote health work and medical electives. He or she will be placed in urban or rural communities in or around the city in groups and are made to stay with a welcoming host family where they interact and communicate with the local people and gather an experience worth appreciating for life.

To be a volunteer in Nepal, you should be of 18 years of age and above at the time of commencing the programme. You may or may not have any special but have acquired at least high school education. If you are applying for medical elective programme, you need to present a suitable training certificate at the organization on reaching the host country. Volunteers can customize their volunteer program for duration of one week to 20 weeks so if you are a student or having a year gap or volunteer abroad, you can easily apply for this exciting, yet noble cause. Usually the program goes for five day in a week and weekends are provided free for the volunteers to visit the city and enjoy their stay in Nepal.

As a volunteer in Nepal you will get to make new friends and lasting experience to take it back with you. With your efforts, you can contribute towards helping those in need and make a difference in their lives. So apply for a volunteering program in Nepal and travel to a new world where you can lend a hand of help while you enjoy the beauty of the place!

Are you a frequent traveller? Do you like to enjoy exotic beaches of the Caribbean, classical renaissance environment of Europe or the mysterious atmosphere of the Orient? If yes then it is very important for an international traveller like you to have International travel insurance. Even if you are not a frequent traveller, but are planning to have an international trip during the holidays, then buying an insurance policy is necessary for you because life is very unpredictable and you can never say for sure that you are safe or for that matter, you belongings are safe.

An International Travel Insurance covers all aspects of your travel depending upon the type of policy you buy. For instance, there are time-bounded policies that cover you for a specific period only like 2 months, 5 weeks, etc. These policies will have various options within so that you can opt for the kind of protection you need. You can get your luggage covered along with yourself. You can get only yourself covered or just your luggage. It all depends on your choice. These insurance policies have a very nominal premium to be paid monthly so they will not make a big hole in your pocket.

Plan a round the world trip, buy an international travel insurance policy and be relaxed. After that, you do not have to worry about anything going wrong in your trip. Even if you lose your luggage, you will know that you are adequately covered for it and once you get back, you will be compensated.

The travel insurance companies that offer you this kind of insurance policies have a wide range of countries where they cover you so you do not have worry about your insurance policy being nullified because of the country you are traveling. No matter what city you are in, no matter what part of the world you are, you will always know that you are covered suitably. All risks that are possible abroad are covered. Nothing will be able to ruin your time so plan round the world trip now and get your journey insured for complete peace of mind.

Of course, one thing must be kept in mind that you will not be covered if you remain in your native country, as it is an international policy. There is an age limit also to be able to get yourself insured. Generally, this age limit is 60 years but it varies with different companies. So what are you waiting for? Go out and enjoy, just don’t forget to get your trip coverd.

Alicante is one of the cities located in the historic city of Spain. The population of the city is around 350,000 inhabitants that live in an area of 200 square kilometres. Alicante is a coastal city so you can expect that most of the attractions here are located near to the sea. The view at the port and harbour is simply breath-taking as you can see hundreds of boats and yacht lining up. This city has played a vital part in the development as it is an important port for trade.

If you are interested to come and have a vacation in this place, you can take a flight into Alicante International Airport. This airport is located near to the Elche province rather than to Alicante, so you will need a car to go to the Alicante harbour city. Car hire Alicante airport is cheap and it will be just a little bit more than taking the bus or taxi but you have the convenience of personal transport. Remember that Spain is a country which drives on the right side of the road if you want to drive your car here.

The most wonderful beach in Alicante will be Playa de San Juan, hands down. It is located around a ten to thirty minute drive from the city centre and it has a wider beach compared to another famous beach, Postiguet Beach. What is lacking in Postiguet Beach is its beauty as compared to San Juan Beach. Even though this beach is not located near to the city, it is still a beach that attract thousands of holidaymakers every day during the peak season. The beach here is seven kilometres long and it is located between Cabo de las Huertas and Muchavista.
Aside from its natural beauty, Playa de San Juan is also a beach which has a lot of facilities like parking bays, disabled access, games area like beach volleyball and beach soccer, and also small stalls that sell umbrellas for rent. The main activity here is sunbathing because the temperature here is not that hot as it is located far from the city that causes urban heat at the beaches near to the city. If you bring small children, the finely grained sand here will of course become their main plaything to build castles and such. Playa de San Juan is not only a great place for the people who love the sea, but it is also a popular place for those who love to eat seafood cuisines at the restaurants here.

When you decide that you may want or need to move, you will surely experience a range of emotions. Moving entails a lot of different things that you will have to consider and can create a lot of stress in your life if you are not able to do everything in an efficient manner. Having all of your things organised and ready to go when moving day arrives is one of the most important factors involved with making a move without any hitches. Once moving day arrives you are sure to need the assistance of close friends and relatives to move all of your things to your new home. However there may be times when you need the help of a shipping company to get your things to where they need to go.

For many people there may come a time when they will need to consider whether or not they want to move out of the country. People all over the world most often move because of work and school, but there are other reasons as well. When making a move to a new country, it helps to have a shipping company that is able to handle your international shipping needs like www.robinsonsrelo.com.

Being able to trust the company that is moving your belongings is of prime importance and trusting Robinsons is made very easy by their track record and award winning service. Not all moving companies can handle the kind of diversity that Robinsons is so noted for when it comes to moving long distance shipments. Whether you are moving a large load over long distances or you are simply in need of a moving truck to make the move, you should be able to utilise the services of Robinsons with ease and affordability.

There is no better way to describe Spain than simply beautiful! This stunning nation has it all; great climate, friendly inhabitants, amazing food and drink, a fascinating culture, beaches, festivals, this list could go on and on. With so many great places to visit within Spain, I thought I would give some insight into getting around the country, and taking in some of the finest attractions.

Why not start with the capital, Madrid, this thriving city is a must see for culture lovers, with phenomenal architecture and a great artistic heritage. Mix this with a vibrant nightlife and the usual hustle and bustle of today’s major European cities and you will certainly find plenty to keep you entertained on your stay in Madrid. A lot of Madrid’s major tourist attractions, such as, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Colon and the Royal Palace are within the city, so depending on where your accommodation is located these are accessible by walking or alternatively Madrid’s Metro (Subway) service is noted as being one of the best and cheapest in Europe and a great way to get around to all famous sights. The best way to head further afield from the city centre and see some of the beautiful Spanish countryside is by car rental Madrid, time away from the cities exploring Spain’s numerous UNESCO Heritage Sites is often the most enjoyable.

If public transport is your preferred option then travel by Train is most convenient and cost effective. Renfe is Spain’s national carrier and trains between major cities run often and most importantly on time. Air travel can be a quicker option, but as is the case with in most countries, the key to saving a fortune is to book early and plan your travel routes.

Barcelona, Spain’s second largest city is another fantastic blend of modern and old, with everything one would expect from a modern European mega city. Much like Madrid, one in the city centre, a comprehensive public transport system is your most convenient way to get around and explore.

From Barcelona you can head to the stunning Balearic Islands, relatively cheap, daily, ferries run from the cities bustling port to Palma, Mallorca. Here my recommendation would be to take advantage of some great offers on car rental Mallorca and travel around as much of the island as possible in your time here. As the largest of the Balearics, this beautiful island has a lot to offer, more than just the major tourist resorts. Having the ability to reach quieter towns and beaches, especially in peak travel seasons when millions of sun seekers flock to the main resorts, can be a real blessing, and enhance your stay in Mallorca a great deal.

To help out the ever increasing number of international visitors to London I have decided to put together some of my top tips for exploring this fascinating and vibrant city on a budget.

As you may expect from the capital of the United Kingdom, and the largest city in the European Union, prices for a lot of things are inflated, but there are still bargains to be had and many ways to avoiding spending a fortune on your time here. People who fear they cannot afford a visit to this amazing city will unnecessarily miss out on what many view as the global capital of culture, fashion, finance and trade.

Once you have found the best (cheapest) way to get into this great city, accommodation is usually next on the list. London provides every type of accommodation; from luxury hotels to the cheap and cheerful that I am going to focus on. If you’re a younger traveller the way forward is definitely to choose from the wide variety of hostel London. Hostels are an ideal way to meet people, and more importantly get an idea of what there is to see and do, here you will meet people who have experience in the city and that can provide invaluable tips on the most entertaining areas to head to.

If hostels are not your thing then there is a lot more budget accommodation London to choose from. Good quality, boutique, hotels can be found not far from the city centre, also, the further out of the centre (zone 1) you head the lower nightly rates will be. And with London’s extensive travel network you will still have no trouble getting to the famous sights and attractions.

Speaking of sights and attractions, these can also mount up to quite a hefty portion of your holiday budget. My best advice would be to plan which sight you would most like to see, and prioritise. Some of London’s most famous attractions are free, so don’t be brainwashed by the vast number of tour operators attempting to sell you tickets. For example, timing it right for the changing of the guard at Westminster Abbey, visiting Trafalgar Square, exploring the markets (Borough Market is especially great for food!), a walk through Hyde Park, these are all free options and will be highlights of your trip. London is a great city for walking, you can avoid the expensive bus tours by donning your walking boots and planning a route to take in some of the finest sights in the world.

London’s West End is usually top of the list for tourists too. If theatre is your thing I have 2 top tips; either book in advance online, or if you’re not too picky visit the kiosks in Leicester Square in the evening and pick up some bargain last minute tickets.

While exploring the UK’s shores, hills and cities has always been a popular choice for British families, holidaying on home turf has undeniably become more widespread in recent years. Figures from research consultancy BRDC Continental show that nearly half (48 per cent) of Brits are intending to holiday in the UK this year, up from 39 per cent in 2010.

Although for many the reasons for choosing to holiday on home shores are financial, holidaymakers are finding that taking breaks in the UK has allowed them to plan more intimate and activity filled holidays. One factor aiding this trend is the superb breadth of accommodation on offer here. Alongside hotels, B&Bs and guest houses, the UK has a fantastic range of self-catering accommodation such as villas and cottages provided by well-established firms such as Easy Cottages

One of the main advantages of staying in accommodation which offers a home-away-from-home feel, is the ability to stay right in the midst of the community you are exploring. This means you get a much more intimate view of the environment and if you are planning activities such as walking or cycling, you can choose to stay in the very areas which you plan to explore – saving you valuable time and money which could otherwise be spent on travel. With parking available for free with this type of accommodation, a cottage or villa break offers savings on staying in more traditional lodgings such as hotels where parking fees can sometimes be payable on top of your stay.

Choosing a self-catering break in general will often save you cash by keeping you in control of how much you spend on your meals, as well as when you choose to eat them. Nowadays holiday cottages offer far more amenities than a basic kitchen however. Alongside TV’s and DVD players you may also expect to find more luxury items to enhance your holidays such as Jacuzzis and hot tubs. Or if cooking really is your thing you may benefit from an on-site BBQ to give you even more creative catering choice.

If you are planning a holiday here in the UK and want to pack in as much as possible while keeping an eye on the purse strings, make sure you investigate the self-catering options available to you in your chosen destination.

As large tour operators like Thomas Cook struggle to stay afloat, many holidaymakers are seeking out alternatives to the traditional package holiday, making now the time to get your B&B business off the ground so you can start reaping the rewards.

In an increasingly shrinking world, the market for holiday accommodation is getting ever more competitive. Whereas bed and breakfast holidays are considered by most to be a British phenomenon, these days you are just as likely to find a Bed&Breakfast in Istanbul as you are to find privately owned apartments in Edinburgh. To make your bed and breakfast establishment stand out from the crowd, there are a few tips you should take on board.

The first is to know who it is you are targeting as a customer. If you live in a large city and your establishment is close to local transport facilities and entertainment venues, you should look at attracting tourists looking for weekend city breaks, for example. By working toward the strengths of your local area, you can refine the service you provide to highlight the best aspects of your local area.

You should always have good knowledge of your local area too. If you are asked to recommend a good local eatery and the only restaurant you know in the area is a branch of McDonald’s, it will not inspire confidence in your guests. By establishing relationships with the propriators of local restaurants, bars and entertainment venues, you can provide guests with accurate information and even receive discount vouchers from local businesses to encourage your guests to spend their money in the local area.

You should always be approachable and where possible, flexible regarding curfews and timings for the serving of breakfast. If your guests are not awake before nine in the morning, it does not make sense to have breakfast ready at seven. If you bend to your guests’ whims, you are more likely to hear from them again.

It’s known for being one of the islands in the Caribbean, therefore a nice sunny place with great beaches and a good deal of nice scenery. It’s known for reggae. It’s known for many famous people that were born or came from there (including Bob Marley, Naomi Campbell, and Grace Jones). What may be less known about it is that Jamaica is one of the best places for romance.

It may not be Italy, but bring a romantic partner to one of the many Jamaica villas, and you’ll see the sparks flying more than ever before. There’s just something about being in such a beautiful paradise-like place that makes lovers love and couples appreciate each other like never before.
If you are planning a trip to Jamaica, and are considering taking up one of the beachfront rentals for a place to stay, then good for you. Here are some ideas of romantic things to do while on the island.

Beachfront and Waterside Romance

In Jamaica, a walk on the beach in itself is extremely romantic. It becomes doubly so when you choose an extremely dreamy spot to do it. There are many such places often right in the vicinity of Jamaica villas, sometimes on the actual property. If you find a villa that is somewhat secluded, it could provide you with the most beautiful area of beach you could wish for.

Jamaica also has some incredible waterfall formations, where the dull roar will calm and relax couples who visit. Besides the beautiful sights, the foliage surrounding is beautiful, and in some places visitors can even go swimming in the small pools. One such place is the Y.S. Falls, which houses a series of falls set in the middle of a wonderful forest. If you and your soul mate go there, you’ll be sure to never forget the experience.

Other Mainland Ideas

Don’t limit yourself to the beach, however. If you travel a bit beyond the reach of your beachside rentals, you could find many other romantic things to do in Jamaica. Jamaica has many cultural centers, particularly for enjoying music, and you’ll be sure to find one in your area. You can go to an event like the Jamaican National Dance Company, the Symphony Orchestra, or any others that catch your interest. Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, holds many of the fun and exciting events that a couple could wish for, as well as restaurants, bars, clubs, discos, and much more.

London is obviously a major city, and as such most backpackers assume it will be expensive…this doesn’t have to be the case, in fact London provides the perfect backpacking destination: with cheap and easy to use transport, bargain food joints, amazing nightlife (what every backpacker wants), plenty of job opportunities, and great deals to be found on budget accommodation London. London is also a gateway to the rest of Europe, with cheap and frequent transport connections via its major airports and the Eurostar.

The capital of the UK is a fascinating city, with some unbelievable sights and attractions to keep us snap happy backpackers entertained. There is a great sense of history in London’s iconic landmarks, and this combines perfectly with the modern, multicultural, and vibrant atmosphere. Visiting the famous landmarks (Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus etc) does not have to be expensive, all you need is a few quid in your pocket, your backpack and off you go. They cost nothing to see, simply purchase a day ticket on the underground and you can take them all in. The free attractions always appeal to backpackers, things like the Tate Modern Gallery, Trafalgar Square and the British Museum to name a few. The Tube can sometimes seem daunting for newcomers, my advice would be to study a map beforehand and set yourself some sort of itinerary to ensure you take in as many of London’s iconic landmarks as possible.

If you are on a very tight budget, as most backpackers are, there is nothing better on a nice day than chilling out in the park. And London has some great outdoor spaces where you can relax and recharge the batteries after a day of tacking the Tube and battling with numerous tourists for the perfect photograph. Hyde Park and Regents Park in particular are beautiful peaceful areas amongst the madness of city life.

The easiest and most economical places to stay are hostels London, not only will they save you vital pennies, but it’s a great way to meet like minded people who can help with exploring this vast city. Also you’re likely to be ideally located to head out exploring; many hostels are centrally located and will have plenty of advice on the top places to visit. Being based in central London will mean you can find the cheaper places to eat and drink, as you would expect from such a large city there are literally thousands of venues to choose from. Sticking with fellow backpackers or following the trends of students (especially midweek) is my best advice. In terms of nightlife; Camden Town must be experienced, Leicester Square has a great atmosphere, Covent Garden often has street performers that will certainly impress and you’ll discover some great little bars on the side streets of Soho.

Don’t be afraid to get off the beaten track in London, this is your best bet for saving money and seeing what Londoners are really about. If you stick to the regular tourist spots you will be stung by higher prices. Enjoy!

This uniqueness makes the city a unique “open air museum”.

Evora, the capital of the Alentejo region between Lisbon and the Spanish border is located, as a the Tourist attractions of the South Portugal. The city is surrounded by beautiful countryside. But be especially interested in history in this historic, but not at all boring, City will get their money.
Evora – melting pot of cultures

The Celts had in this Region settled, but Evora became apparent only between the first Century BC. and 615 AD in importance. When the Romans came, saw and built. The presence of Romans makes today in the architecture of City apparent: in the Castle, the aqueduct, and especially the “Templo Romano de Évora or Templo de Diana” (Temple of Diane), considered the Roman edifice. This, of Legend applies to Diana, the Roman goddess of the moon, of hunting and chastity, as a temple named the Symbols of the Roman occupation. But not only the Roman occupation is reflected in the architecture of the city again, and the presence of the Moors is reflected in Évora’s townscape.

The Moors, 715 AD, the city had been conquered and expelled in 1165, also share architectural Cityscape as it is today. They contributed to improving the city’s defenses, what is today the reinforced gates and the remains of a Kasbah Can recognize (Arabic fortress, citadel).
Bone, churches, cathedrals

A further SightYou can not miss when visiting a city may, to visit the “Capela dos Ossos” (the Bone Chapel). Those who put off by the inscription above the entrance is not solved, which states: “We are gathered here waiting for the bones of yours,” is not the sight of the chapel soon forget. The walls of the 16th Century by a Franciscan monk built ChapelHere now added some Christian influences, are lined with about 5,000 bones and skulls.

Another Highlight Évora is already in the directions in the city to see, namely the Cathedral. Of the 12th Century granite building was built, its two unequal towers dominate the skyline, is the largest medieval cathedral in the country. Your input and the portal that shows the 12 Apostles in marble, is considered a masterpiece of early Gothic Bildhaukunst.

As I said, the city is anything but boring, which they, among other things the university (the two oldest in the country) owes. Thanks to the UniversityWhich has also been a few years under their belts, founded in 1558, many young people are out on the streets of the city. The cafés and bars are well attended and evening wear, the students in ensuring that Evora has an active nightlife.
The city has to offer not only amazingly diverse historical influences, but is also a beautiful Region surrounded by olive trees, cork oaks growing and wide Fields is marked.

In a guide, the Scottish town of Pitlochry at the foot of the Grampian Mountains, affectionately known as “tourist city”. In fact, Pitlochry has only about 2,500 residents, mostly elderly. Nevertheless, Pitlochry has been attracting visitors for over 150 years under its spell.

On the one hand this is due to the location of the city, framed by the Grampian Mountains, The River Tummel and Loch Faskally against a magnificent backdrop and is a great starting point for walks in the Grampians, part of the Scottish Highlands, Is. On the other hand, has Pitlochry a rich culture, in the Highland games is to theater and concerts all represented.
Attractions and Events

Who Whiskey Pitlochry is like love. Two distilleries are here and are open to visitors. If you follow the main road heading southeast, blowing one already before the sign of Blair Atholl Distillery looks forward to the scent of yeast and fermented. Upon entering the distillery, the odor still piercing and in the small exhibition space or a tour of the distillery, it is not difficult to restore in the history of 300 years, when the whole country illegal distilleries were operated. The Edradour Distillery located a few miles outside of Pitlochry and is a scenic walk away. She is one of the smallest distilleries in the country and traditionally produced with few employees, only 12 barrels per week.
Who at the time of Salmon is in Pitlochry, which should necessarily Dam Loch Faskally and installed there Fish ladder pay a visit. In a chamber with a glass wall you can watch the salmon on their migration upstream.
Throughout the year, the Festival Theatre Visitors a failed program. During the season every day of the week will be played another piece, but also in other months draw plays, musicals and pantomime pieces of visitors to the city at the foot of the Grampians. On the second Saturday in September found more than 150 years, traditional Highland Games Pitlochry in place for the athletes from all over Scotland come. Also not to be missed are the light and the Tonspektakel Enchanted ForestThat every year in October with a different theme will take place. After sunset, a forest located next to the festival transformed into an enchanted magical world of colors and sounds that you can roam on fixed routes.
Walks around Pitlochry

Around Pitlochry is a network of hiking trails through hilly forests and picturesque Hole. A relatively short trail leads from the village around the lake Faskally with its small bays, which just looks picturesque in the fall, when the red and golden leaves are reflected on the water surface. Another half-day tour takes you to the 735m high Ben VrackieThat offers an unforgettable view of the forested hills and many lakes in the area. The Pass of Killiecrankie is the scene of a Battle, In 1689 the Scottish Jacobites defeated a superior English army. A hike is worth but rather because of the romantic scenery along the wild River Garry. A bit further is the sparkling white Blair CastleThe residence of the Duke of Atholl, one of the finest castles in Scotland and has opened 32 rooms with antique furniture, paintings and weapons to the public. The park with its sometimes very exotic plants is worth seeing. In high season, dressed in kilt playing a Bagpiper front of the castle and in late May / early June, a parade of Atholl Highlanders instead, the only private army in Britain.
