Mauritius in Africa is next to the Indian Ocean right off of the South East Coast of Africa. It is a beautiful country full of dangerous volcanoes, mountains that are scattered all across the island, tropical plants and forests, and beautiful coral reefs that surround the entire island. It is the perfect getaway island for anyone who is looking to relax, have a romantic time with your loved one, and bask in the sandy white beaches and transparent water that opens up into the vast sea.

To the west of the island there are two great places to visit; Grand Bay and the Balaclava Ruins. The Grand bay is the place for tourists to hang out and find everything they need. It is also home to the best bars, discos, and restaurants that the Mauritians love to hang out in.

The Balaclava Ruins are located near the Baie aux Tortues. During the 17th century sailors named the place after the variety and the number of tortoises that are in the vicinity of the old Balaclave estate. There you will be able to see the original sea walls of the area that were first created by Mahé de Labourdonnais.

On the east side of the island is the Ile aux Cerfs and the Belle Mare beach. Mauritius is always full of fun and excitement but what better way to truly experience this than to take part in the amazing water sports. Ile aux Cerfs has the most fantastic and breathtaking beaches in all of Mauritius and is the perfect place for you to learn all of the different water sports that they have to offer or just lounge around in the sun and soak it all in. The Belle Mare beach is another beautiful beach that you can find. It is more tranquil and peaceful for those who are looking to relax for the day.
